Some additional information on John Fedorjaka
If you look at our “About” page, you’ll see a brief bio on my technical background. Today, I thought I would provide a bit of personal background. Martial arts have been an integral part of my life since my early college years. I haven’t always trained these many years. For one reason or another, different parts of my life have had to take precedence over my training, but I’ve always found my way back. Some of my best and most trusted friends have been my long time training partners. It may be in part to the discipline required to push yourself and each other to do more than any of you thought possible, or the five qualities that we work to instill into our students: Respect, Honesty, Perseverance, Leadership and Self-Mastery.
I teach both new and advanced students at our school as a way to pass along what I’ve been taught over the years, as there’s no greater satisfaction than in teaching or helping others. If you go to the Apex Martial Arts Center website (which is being finalized), here’s the bio you’ll find:
Sifu John Fedorjaka has been training for over twenty years in a variety of systems. He has trained in BJJ under Professor Geoff Balme, as well as Karate, Kali and Chinese Martial arts before joining the Apex Ki Do Kwan (Apex Martial Arts Center) to train under Mudan Michael in Ki Bon Sool (Life Protection Skills).
Sifu John continues both his instruction and training at the kwan to further his skills and personal development, also training under Professor Geoff, Kali under Manong Rich Monforti, and seminars with noted professional in various arts. His teaching style in Ki Bon Sool incorporates principles from his diverse background in different arts to bring a practical approach to self defense for both children and adults.
If you have any questions on this, or any other technical details, please don’t hesitate to contact me. It’s my pleasure to work with others and see what great things we can do together.
